London Parliament plans garden bonfire ban to deal with harmful air pollution

Currently, local authorities can only intervene in the smoke complaints that constitute “statutory nuisance”, allowing them to order fire extinguishing cases. However, the Council noted that this approach limits enforcement actions to be “reactive” only and that the proposed bylaws will provide a more effective solution.
