A jealous ex-husband was sentenced to 18 years in prison after trying to murder his former partner and friend by hitting his car into their partner and threatening to kill his stepdaughter.

The swamp also sent a disturbing letter to one of Kylie’s two daughters, instructing what she should do after the crash she intended. His ex-partner found it before she read it.

The letter warned that Marsh “organized two situations” where the first involved collecting her mother’s life insurance and handing her pension to her sister, after which she would be “raped once” by an unspecified perpetrator.

If she fails to follow the instructions, Marsh warns that she will be “kidnapped, raped for four days, and then killed.”

On the day of the crash, emergency services were summoned to Crookwell, 45 kilometers northwest of Goulburn, after reports that the SUV and a hatchback collided head-on.

He was charged with predatory driving, using offensive weapons intended to commit prosecutable crimes and violating AVO (domestic) ban/restriction.

The allegations of attempted murder and threats to kill the stepdaughter were added later.

Judge Barry said during the sentencing: “While Mr. Marsh sticks to his point of view, blames the victims, and maintains his own self-righteous attitude towards what he does, he has no good prospects for recovery and no possibility of offending again.”
