NTR regional collector G. Lakshmisha has asked officials from various departments and the public to be aware of preventing fire accidents, especially in the summer.

He directed Associated Press Fire Department officials to conduct simulation operations to explain to people the precautions people need to take to avoid fire accidents and how to respond in fire accidents.

Mr. Lakshmisha participated in a simulation exercise organized by a team of firefighters, led by district fire officer Av Shankar Rao on Monday (May 12,2025).

“The public should understand how to prevent liquefied petroleum cylinders, circuits, fuels and chemicals and how to put out fires caused by flames,” the collector said.

He said the station’s fire officers and firefighters should explain how the public can rescue victims from high-rise buildings, hospitals, schools, apartments, temples and commercial complexes.

“The public should not panic in a fire accident. They should consider how to protect themselves and save the lives of those trapped in the fire,” Lakshmisha said.

He said the vehicle riders should respond quickly on the road, paving the way to the fire bidding in an emergency, which will arrive on site on time and rescue the victims.

Collectors say that students, women, employees in private organizations and all government departments should be aware of the use of fire-fighting equipment.
