“Pawn bleeds on the battlefield, kings eat”: Harsh Goenka uses chess to explain dynamics in India-Pakistan tensions

Amid tensions between India and Pakistan, RPG Group Chairman Harsh Goenka reflects on the power dynamics between leaders and ordinary people. Goenka mentioned how the king and queen lived in peace while “pawn sacrifice on the battlefield.

Harsh Goenka wrote in an article on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter): “When the pawns bleed on the battlefield, the king and Queens are having a peaceful meal. The real game is not played on the board – it plays on it!”

Social media user reaction

Several social media users reacted to the post and shared their thoughts on power dynamics.

“After the game, all of this goes into the same box,” one of the users wrote.

Another user added: “Yes, the game is not about killing people. It’s all about strategy, tactics, pins, checks, deadlocks, draws, racing, forks, king safety, etc..Sometimes when it is inevitable, we communicate… Sometimes we do sacrifice in order to gain an advantage or safety. ”

One of the users compared a factory to the battlefield, “Works and workers at the factory dined in five-star labor through sweat, bread and masters.”

“This metaphor expresses a compelling point to the complexity of power dynamics. It highlights how those with authority always face the impact of their decisions, and a wider population may experience the impact of the impact more directly.”

India – Pakistan tensions

Goenka’s position was after the “understanding” between India and Pakistan, and after Operation Sindor, negotiations between the directors of the two countries’ military operations (DGMO) were reached.

Tensions between India and Pakistan rose to cope with Pahargham terrorist attacks in Jamu and Kashmir, claiming 26 lives after India launched Operation Sindor on May 7.

India hit the missile at nine terrorist sites in Pakistan and POK under Operation Sindor. Since then, Pakistan has launched several unreasonable upgrades using artillery and drones.

“Indian and Pakistan have an understanding of the cessation of shooting and military operations today (Saturday) after a series of crossings and shellings between India and Pakistan along the border,” Foreign Minister Jaishankar told May 10.

In addition, Foreign Minister Vikram Misri confirmed that the Director General of Pakistan Military Operations (DGMO) contacted India on Saturday and agreed to cease all military operations, at sea and in the air.
