The health minister said nurses should work with soldiers.

Minister of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Y. Satya Kumar Yadav said the nursing profession is noble because it is a profession that must make the greatest contribution, compassion and compassion to another person.

The main guest of a program organized by the Associated Press State Nurses and Midwife Commission commemorating International Nurses Day in Vijayawada on Monday, May 12, likening the nursing profession to the profession of soldiers.

“Soldiers always protect the country on the front line, and a nurse should also serve the people with the soldiers in times of crisis,” the minister said.

As Florence Nightingale, a well-known nurse and founder of modern nursing, showed, the minister called on nurses to take care of patients with a comprehensive commitment and humane nature, and his birth anniversary is International Nurse Day.

Mr Satya Kumar Yadav said nurses played a crucial role in ensuring the health of individuals and communities that promote rapid economic growth. He added that every increase in average life expectancy significantly increases economic growth.

The Health Minister said 1,21,403 qualified nurses were registered in Andhra Pradesh, of which 16,801 were working in government hospitals.

The minister pointed out that the statement raised by the previous government that there were no vacancies in the health sector was wrong, and the minister said there were 5,000 vacancies in nurse positions and that action had begun to be taken to fill them.

The minister directed the Associated Press Council of Nurse and Midwifery to ensure that every qualified nurse is registered and that no unregistered nurses are engaged in patient treatment. He also said strict measures are being taken to maintain the state’s quality of nursing education.

Florence Nightingale Award

Later, the Minister presented the Florence Nightingale Award, first presented by the State Department, to the best performing nurses in different categories. The winner has received a cash prize of Rs 25,000.

Winners are: P. Rohini, a health worker at Renigunta Junior Health Center (Best ANM), Nurse M. Nirikshana Kumari, a staff nurse at Jangareddygudem Regional Hospital, and NRI School of Nursing, CIBA CIBA FRANCIS (Best Nursing Staff) B. Ganga Bhavani, a president of the NRI School of Nursing.

DSVL NARASIMHAM, Director of Medical Education and former Chairman of the Committee, Susila, Board of Registration Officer of the Nursing School, nurses, principals, faculty and students participated in the program.
