Tensions between India and Pakistan surged after the April 22 Pahalgam attack, when 26 people, most of whom were shot dead by terrorists. After a series of diplomatic actions, India conducted a coordinated missile strike at terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir earlier this week, and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said 100 terrorists were killed in the attack.
