621st Hazrat Khwaja Bande Nawaz Urs’ ceremony begins in Kalaburagi

The traditional flag lifting ceremony (Parcham Kushai) marks the beginning of Hazrat Syed Khwaja Bande Nawaz Dargah’s 621st Urs-e-Shareef at the historic 11 steps (Gyarah Seedhi).
The ceremony was held by Sajjada Nasheen of Dargah Hazrat Syed Muhammad Ali al-Hussaini, who performed the ceremony in traditional costumes of Khwajgan (Saints).
Special prayer (Fateha) is described and divine devotion (Tabarrukat) is distributed among devotees.
After the flag was lifted, Sajjada Nasheen provided services at Blessed Tomb (Gumbad Mubarak) in Hazrat Khwaja Bande Nawaz, where further prayers were provided and Tabarrukat was distributed.
Sajjada Nasheen’s family, including his eldest son Hazrat Syed Muhammad Syed Hussaini and his younger son Hazrat Syed Alam Hussaini, his brother Dr. Syed Syed Mustafa Hussaini and others were present.

On Tuesday, the celebration will begin with the morning dargah shareef with the band Khidmat-i-farrashi and Sama, followed by the afternoon and evening Namaaz-e-Zuhr, followed by Namaz-e-Maghr and Name-Maghr and Namaaz-e-isha.
Sandals Parade
On Wednesday, the ceremony of Khidmat-i-Farrashi and Band Sama will continue in the historic Dargah-e-Shareef.
In the evening, the parade with sandal paste will start from Mehboob Gulshan Garden and arrive in Daga.
In the early hours of Wednesday and Thursday, sandals will be pasted on the tomb of Hazrat Khwaja Bande Nawaz, the beginning of the famous Urs-e-Shareef.
