Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will resume on Saturday, May 17, with a clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Cavaliers (KKR), and the Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI) announced the revised timetable for the tournament.
According to the revised schedule, 17 games will be played in six venues, while the final of IPL 2025 will be held on June 3.
The playoff venue will be announced later, but will be held on the following dates: qualifier 1 on May 29, knockout rounds on May 30, qualifier 2 on June 1 and finals on June 3. The revised schedule includes two double-name buses, which will be played on two Sundays.
The revised schedule has 13 league games and four playoffs. . Two days later, PBK will play against the Mumbai Indians (MI), who initially played in the match of the second supervisor in Dharam Sara on May 11.
The board has been reset to zero in Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Mumbai, Mumbai, Bangalore and Ahmedabad in the new schedule.
On the revised schedule, the likes of Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings will not play the remaining home games at their designated home venues. Delhi will host its last home match against RR on May 20, and SRH’s last home match against KKR on May 25.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Kings (PBK) competes against the Delhi Capital (DC) IPL 2025, which will be called the Midway match on May 8 in Dharamsala and will be played again in Jaipur on May 24.

Earlier, the Indian Premier League (IPL) suspended the Punjab Kings’ match against Delhi Building on Friday, May 9, 2025, the day after the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, was cancelled after just 10.1 matches in the first inning due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.

The Indian Cricket Committee also praised the armed forces of India for their heroism and resilience.
It said: “BCCI took this opportunity to pay another tribute to the courage and resilience of the Indian Armed Forces, whose efforts have brought the safety of cricket back. The board reiterated its commitment to the national interest while ensuring the successful completion of the league.”
