Vacationer is fined after Facebook Travel Group holds six-month harassment campaign against men

A British holidaymaker was fined and granted a restraining order after a six-month promotion of online abuse against tourists and branded him the “old predator” in a row on Facebook.
Lisa Wilkinson, 46, targeted Edward Hampton, 74, on a Facebook group visiting a resort in Marmaris, Turkey, where she posted a series of abuse messages using the alias “Buster Wilko.”
The harassment occurred between February and July last year, and he repeated the remarks about Mr. Hampton and his wife after being slandered, to an audience of about 2,500 members of the group.
Wilkinson, who was an administrator of Hampton’s Facebook group “Marm R Us”, converted allegiance to a similarly named group created by Turkish friends, soon began publicly attacking Mr. Hampton and his wife.
She mocked the couple as “Tramptons” and claimed Mr. Hampton “slept with drunken members while his wife slept like an elderly predator.”
In one article, she branded him a “dirty mean” and lashed out at those who defended him, saying they were “as mean and brainwashed by the soldiers.”
Online harassment expanded to private messages, where Wilkinson sent photos of Mr. Hampton and his wife’s passport, writing: “It’s OK, when I’m abroad, worrying about when you go, dirty elderly predators.”
Lisa Wilkinson, 46, ruthlessly dragged Edward Hampton, 74, to say he and his wife Bebe

She continued: “The screenshot of your passport has been given to the authorities. Enjoy the next holiday for the elderly predators.
“Continuously sleeping behind your wife, your racist is wrong, you can’t go back to Marmaris, and now strip the Turkish business. ”
Wilkinson appeared in Sefton District Court on March 25, where she denied no charges of violent harassment.
She admitted to making the posts but claimed she was acting in “self-defense”, claiming that Mr. Hampton humiliated her anonymously online and commented about her on the “Love Mouse” website.
Despite claims, she was convicted and returned to Liverpool District Court for a sentence on May 9.
She received an 18-month community order that included 150 hours of unpaid work and up to 35 days of recovery. The court also ordered her to pay £480 in damages and issued a five-year restraining order that prohibits her from contacting Mr Hampton.

Mr. Hampton said: “I’m disgusting. We stopped everyone involved.
“The evil disgusting comments continue, and whenever she puts her friends on, everyone else joins someone who doesn’t even know me.
“Between her and her friends, they keep moving forward. They won’t be alone. There are posts that are continuing every day, not on my page, but on her page and on her group.
“My wife is a nervous wreck and I’ve been there too. It affects everyone. Everyone who is associated with us is affected one way or another. Hopefully this will disappear now.
