King hosts French President Emmanuel Macron on First Visit | Political News

The King will visit Britain for the first time this summer and will host French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife this summer.
Buckingham Palace announced that the president accepted the king’s invitation and will visit from July 8 to 10.
Mr. Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, will remain at Windsor Castle.
State visits are a great ritual matter, usually including carriages and luxurious state banquets.
This will be the first state visit of the French president since Nicolas Sarkozy was invited by the late Queen in March 2008. He also lives in Windsor Castle.

This was his first state visit as a monarch, but Protests have been postponedhe visited Germany before France, and then Romania.
The King and Queen were also attended by Mr Macron in June 2024 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-D on Normandy, but this is not a state visit.

Charles, 78, was diagnosed with cancer early last year and has been in charge of responsibilities while under treatment.
The King will host U.S. President Donald Trump after Sir Keir Starmer invites him in February, but the date of the trip has not been announced yet.
