Hyderabad: About three weeks before the term of Justice PC Ghose Judicial Committee, various aspects of the construction of the Kaleshwaram project were probed and on May 31 ended a problem on May 31, one that continued to balance was the then-BRS government – then Chief Minister K. During multiple cross-examinations by current and former officials of the Irrigation and Finance Department and the then Chief Minister’s Office, the committee was informed that the “political leaders” had taken several key decisions on the plan and implemented the construction of weapons.
Several officials also acknowledged that this means the final call for Sundilla, Annaram and Medigadda Barrages was conducted by Chandrashekar Rao or Harish Rao.
During the cross-check of the committee, Chandrashekar Rao and Harish Rao sometimes set up representatives of three companies that built railings during the inquiry, including representatives of Navayaga (Sundilla), Afcons (Annaram) and L&T Pes-JV (Medigadda).
During his second term as Chief Minister, the construction was completed and used three barrages and began to develop serious issues under its foundation, Chandrashekar Rao also held the irrigation combination. He and BRS repeatedly claimed that former CM had “designed” the Kaleshwaram project and were its “engineer.”
Now, with the last extension of the committee’s term, to end on May 31 – the committee has received five extensions so far – it remains uncertain whether the two leaders will face cross-examination. Although there were signs in previous cross-examinations that Chandrashekar Rao, Harish Rao and then Finance Minister Etala Rajendar (now BJP MP) might be called up, so far, this has not happened.
Judge Ghose is expected to return to Hyderabad on 15 May to resume work at the BRK Bhavan Commission Office near the Secretariat and is believed to be ready to submit his report to the government in the last week of the month.
