The state legislature installed the Flex committee on Tuesday and posted posters on photos of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, and emphasized her leadership in the 1971 Indian-Pakistan war, at 20 famous junctions in Bengaluru.

They tried to compare the situation that prevailed in 1971 and said that despite the bravery of the armed forces, the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not behind.

During Operation Sindor, India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire at the request of U.S. President Donald Trump. Congress said Mr. Trump announced a ceasefire between the two countries before the military’s top brass tube directed soldiers to stop operations.

Congress played Narendra Modi-Led government on one of the Flex boards, saying, “Indira Gandhi doesn’t need a hashtag…she made history.” Another poster said, “India remembers Durga.” Former Prime Minister AB Vajpayee described Indira Gandhi as “Durga” after defeating Pakistan in 1971. Another poster said: “Indira ended it before it started.”

The Congress further stated: “At that time, the Indian army provided a suitable reply to Pakistan and achieved a historic victory in just 13 days. The Indian army infiltrated Lahore, Pakistan.”

In 1971, 93,000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered. Congress pointed out that Indira Gandhi himself visited the war zone. “People say Mr. Modi was in the election campaign in Bihar, not in the whole party meeting,” the party said in a statement.

The People’s Party’s object to poster

Legislative Parliament opposition leader R. Ashok responded strongly to the banner, criticizing the timing of the Congressional poster. “It’s not the time to post a poster of Indira Gandhi,” he said.
