24 Prisoned in Nizamabad’s drunk driving case

Nizamabad: Police arrested 46 people in a drunk driving case in Nizamabad Division on Tuesday. Of these, 24 people were sentenced to one to three days in prison, depending on the level of alcohol consumption, while the remaining 22 were released after fines. The police team acted under the direction of Police Commissioner P. Sai Chaitanya and conducted sober checks within the scope of various police stations.
Those driving under the influence were detained, transferred to their respective police stations and consulted. The operation was conducted by the Nizamabad City, Makloor, Navipet, Jakranpally and Sirikonda Police Department. Assistant Police Commissioner L. Raja Venkat Reddy oversees the operations of station officials.
