The decision to withhold the account was made in accordance with Indian law after the public warning issued by the Indian embassy in Beijing. In a sharp condemnation of X, the embassy warned the Global Times not to publish unverified claims about Indian military operations.
In a follow-up message, the embassy elaborated on multiple social media accounts that sympathize with Pakistan have been circulating unproven claims related to the alleged losses suffered by Indian armed forces.
In the context of #OperationsIndoor, some pro-Pakistan handles are spreading unfounded claims in an attempt to mislead the public. When media media share such information without verifying the source, it reflects serious mistakes in responsibility and journalistic ethics. ”
Now, the official Global Times account X reads: “Reject.
The Bureau of News Information Bureau’s fact-checking unit also marks multiple visual effects and follows reports related to the sindoor action in the event of tampering or recycling from irrelevant events. Officials say the move to block accounts is a necessary condition to prevent misinformation that could affect public order and national security.
This development has happened after the tensions between India and China are even greater, especially after Beijing recently released a list of locations renamed in Arunachal Pradesh. India quickly rejected the bill, calling it a “fruitful and ridiculous attempt” and demanded a territorial claim.
“We have noticed that China has been in vain and absurd attempts to name the position of India’s Arunachal Pradesh,” MEA spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said on Wednesday. The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement: “In line with our position of principle, we absolutely reject such an attempt. Creative naming will not change the undeniable reality that Arunachal Pradesh was and will always be an integral and inalienable part of India.”
China claims Arunachal Pradesh is part of its territory and often publishes maps in several places within the Northeastern prefectures. In 2024, China released a list of 30 new names for various places in Arunachal Pradesh, and India was rejected.
