Congress plans “Jai Hind” rally to fight the BJP’s “Sindoor Politics”

At a meeting of senior party leaders chaired by Rahul Gandhi, Congress decided to ask the Prime Minister why former U.S. President Donald Trump first announced the Indian-Parker ceasefire, claiming he had contributed to it and proposed mediation in Kashmir. The party also questioned why the U.S. Secretary of State said it would hold further negotiations in India-Pakistan on a neutral venue and why India signed a ceasefire agreement with Pakistan without ensuring extradition of terrorists, including five defendants in the Pahargan massacre.
Congress spokesman Jairam Ramesh said the Sindor action was “a brand of the United States, not a brand of party” and criticized the use of the BJP for political interests. “We never politicize security issues. He asked.
Ramesh added: “Marco Rubio’s claim to the decisive role of the United States has raised serious problems, however, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA) responded only through spokespersons.”
Congress leader Sachin said the prime minister must explain Trump’s repeated assertions, including his recent comments in Saudi Arabia, linking the Indian Parker ceasefire to a trade deal. “National security and integrity cannot equate to trade agreements. This obsession with transactions is unacceptable. Clarification must come from the highest level,” he said.
Spokesman Pawan Khera said the party will also urge the government to be responsible for the failure of intelligence behind the Pahalgam attack. He recalled that Prime Minister Nehru responded positively to the opposition needs of the special parliament during the 1962 Chinese aggression.
