On Wednesday night, the 800-year-old Ramappa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Telangana’s Mulugu District, launched a stunning blend of tradition and global charm on Wednesday night, welcomed the 35 Miss World from Europe’s Miss World 2025 on a cultural tour.

A red carpet was laid on the entrance to the temple, laying the foundation for an unforgettable evening. The contestants wore saris in various tones, wearing flowers, a tribute to Indian traditions, and before entering the temple complex, people paid tribute to Indian traditions.
Accompanied by local guides and cultural experts, they explore the architectural wonders of the temple, including its famous lightweight floating bricks, detailed carvings, and the sophisticated works of Kakatiya Dynasty.
Cultural Activities
When dusk, the temple is active under colorful lights, providing a picturesque backdrop that complements the traditional costumes of visitors. After the tour, contestants joined the VIPs and guests of Temple Lawn for cultural events.
Minister of Women and Child Welfare Danasari Anasuya or Seethakka, who attended the event, said: “Mulugu is not only a region on the Telangana map. This is a story shaped by indigenous women, Sammakka and Saralamma.
Mulugu regional collector TS Divakara welcomed the delegation and said: “We are delighted that Miss World Organization has chosen the Ramappa Temple. This temple tells a historical story. We not only see the beauty of Miss World contestants, but we think they are Ambassadors across the globe.”
The dance performance of the night was powerful and dedicated to Rudrama Devi, the queen of the Kakatia Dynasty. The vibrant choreography and expressive storytelling that originated from Telangana’s martial arts tradition attracted the audience.
After that, there was a dance performance of “Perlini”. A soft performance followed, narrating the 800-year history of the temple through vivid visual effects projected onto its walls.
In the evening, Ms. Seethakka made all 35 contestants by hand in bamboo.
On parallel visits, 22 contestants from the Caribbean and America visited the Thousand Pillar Temple and Fort Wolangal, immersed in the rich historical and architectural heritage of the region.
