The UPSC calendar for the upcoming year has been released. The Joint Public Service Commission will conduct UPSC Prelims 2026 on May 24, 2026 and UPSC Mains 2026 will be held on August 21, 2026.
The committee also released the National Defense Academy (NDA) 2026 exam and the United Nations Defense Services (CDS) exam dates, both scheduled for April 12, 2026. It is important to note that the Union Public Service Commission conducts NDA and CDS exams twice in a calendar year. These exams will be held for the second time next year on September 13, 2026.
The NDA exam is to recruit candidates from the Indian Defence Force to serve as lieutenants of the army, as a sub-postal officer of the Navy or air force.
The UPSC Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) exam is scheduled to be held on July 19, 2026. It is worth noting that the last date for applying for the UPSC preliminary examination is February 3, 2026.
