New Delhi: To identify and block digital fraud, Telecom Major Airtel launched a fraud detection solution on Thursday in communications for all top or OTT applications, as well as other platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Facebook, Instagram, Email, etc. The strict move of telecom service providers is at a time when rising digital fraudsters use advanced technology, malicious links and fake profiles to attract online customers and deceive them with money through such scams.
The service is currently available in Haryana circle and will be launched nationwide soon in the coming days. However, Airtel said the service will be integrated and automatically enabled with all Airtel Mobile and broadband customers at no extra cost. It said: “This means that when a customer tries to access a website whose premium security system is marked as malicious, the page load will be blocked and the customer will be redirected to the page explaining the reason for the block.”
