“Crazy Islamists in power…”: Military experts’ support for Pakistan lashes at Türkiye | World News

As Türkiye expands its support for Pakistan, the Indian government and agencies have begun a process of developing relations with the Turkish company and the Erdogan government. Military aviation analyst and historian Tom Cooper has responded dramatically to Türkiye’s support for Pakistan, despite Islamabad’s funding for terrorism. Cooper also said that despite claims, Pakistan’s military had a bad relationship with civilians.
“Turkish government is in a similar position to the Pakistani. At present, the Turkish government is a crazy Islamist in power who is missing the religion for his purpose…Pakistan has been bankrupt for decades and has always been kept alive by some sponsor, from Saudi Arabia, then China, then Qatar…all this weaponry – US radar, Turkish command centres, Chinese fighter jets, Chinese missiles, indigenous jets and missiles.” Cooper said.
Cooper also marked the relationship between Pakistani army and civilians. “The relationship between Pakistan’s military and civilian leadership has never been a good thing, and the country has been under military rule for much of its history. Pakistan’s armed forces have their own goals for this, they are abusing religion…I don’t expect it to change.”
Speaking about Operation Sindor, Cooper said it may take some time for the world to figure out the new reality between India and Pakistan, and that’s how Pakistan cannot defend itself. “My biggest concern is that the West will miss the opportunity to reorganize its politics against India and start over. It’s a good opportunity, but it’s a good opportunity, but it’s unlikely that it’s for several reasons. There’s a lot of ignorance, which has a lot of bias, and even more, because the West is at least as plagued by religious terrorism as India,” Cooper said.
