IT companies, consulting companies that book fraud seekers

The case was booked by an IT company, allegedly suspected of cheating many young people in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh through promising work.

Between 100-120 victims, they gathered at the Gachibowli Police Department on Thursday to demand action against the company’s management and the consulting firm responsible for recruitment.

The scam was revealed after a complaint from a 32-year-old man from Ameenpur, Sangareddy area, which accused him of being cheated by the company for Rs 3 lakh.

A person who claims to be a human resources representative of Madhapur consulting firm contacts the victim. The representative assured him a job through the hiring process.

Over time, the victim paid a total of Rs 3 lakh of stages and processing fees. He was then forwarded to a claimed IT company in Gachibowli, where he received a formal offer letter, a welcome kit and a laptop. He was also appointed to work at home training stage and even earned a salary in the first month, which added to the fantasy of authenticity.

However, when the subsequent salary ceased, things changed. The victims tried to visit both the consulting firm and the company only to find that their office was closed and all contacts were inactive.

A Gachibowli police official said the case was scheduled based on charges of cheating and criminal breach of trust, according to a complaint from 15 members’ co-representatives. According to preliminary investigation, the company charges a fee of between Rs 15,000 and Rs 3 lakh. Further investigation is underway to track the defendant.
