The government has approved a 3226 crore rupees extension of the seaport air route, which includes a price of 2.49 hectares purchased from the Naval Weapons Warehouse (NAD).
In addition to Rs 2.31 crore of land determined by the Ministry of Defense, the government allocated Rs 8.16 crore for the expanded NAD-Thorappu Road and Rs 9.943 crore for the construction of composite walls.
According to the exchange, an agreement to hand over NAD land was signed in the presence of Minister of Industry P. Rajeeve.
The land price will be handed over to the Road and Bridge Development Company in Kerala (RBDCK), an implementing body for the Seaport-Airport Road extension. The release said the NAD land issue is a major challenge in the development of Seaport-Airport Road over the past 20 years. The tendering process will begin shortly after the land price is handed over.
The process of HMT as the price of land storage extended by HMT-NAD is in its final stage. The Supreme Court allowed the 1.63 hectares of hectares of HMT to be taken to RBDCK in an earlier interim order to execute the proposed expansion project after the institution deposited the price to obtain the price of the land.
The Kerala High Court earlier ruled that the state government owned the land. The Supreme Court’s interim order filed an appeal filed by HMT before it. The amount of compensation is based on the basic price of the land in 2014.
According to the protocol with NAD, the HMT-NAD road will be rebuilt at a width of 5.5 meters. Follow-up measures will begin without delay. As an expansion of HMT-NAD Thorappu Road, the power station, Transformers and telephone stations must be relocated. A new flow signal point will also be set. The minister said that based on the key flagship project status, the Seaport-Airport road development will be completed.
