WTC combined South African players will miss the playoffs after BCCI asks teams to release them by May 26

NEW DELHI: BCCI on Thursday directed the IPL franchise to release the latest eight WTC combined South African players by May 26, which prevented them from playing the playoffs. In consultation with the team, BCCI also informed that West Indies players will be used for the rest of the game, which was suspended due to the Indian-Pakistan military conflict.

After the ceasefire announcement, the decision was made to resume the IPL from May 17, and eventually returned to June 3, starting from May 25, clashing with international commitments from players from South Africa, England and the West Indies.

Faced with unforeseen circumstances, BCCI held difficult negotiations with foreign boards, including CSA, but the governing bodies from South Africa did not give up in the June 11 WTC final at Lord.
It is worth mentioning that all six teams in the South African flagship T20 League are under the IPL franchise.

South Africa should gather in the UK on May 31 when the playoffs begin on May 29, and the date also marks the beginning of England’s home white ball series against the West Indies.

BCCI communicates to the team in formal communication. There is no lack of five South African players in the competition including Tristan Stabs (DC), Wiaan Mulder (SRH), Kagiso Rabada (GT), Corbin Bosch (MI), Ryan Rickelton (MI), Marco Jansen (PBKS), Lungi Ngidi (rcb), AIDS (RCB) in the competition (Wiaan Mulder (SRH), Kagiso Rabada (gt), Corbin Bosch (MI), Lungi Ngidi (RCB), which may compete, SRH has long released Mulder because they have been eliminated, and Markram is likely to release with LSG after the league stage, which is unlikely to play the playoffs.

But Jansen had a huge impact on the Punjab Kings, and MI opener Ryan Rickelton maintained the same impact. Stubbs is a key member of the Delhi capital, and Speedster Kagiso Rabada is also a Gujarat Titans.

The Titans will also miss the formal service of Jos Buttler, who will miss the playoffs for England’s duties.
