India announces white ball trip to England; Harmanpreet Kaur leads

New Delhi: Attack opener Shafali Verma returned to the Indian color on Thursday in a seven-month gap as she was included in the national T20I roster on June 28 for a five-game winning streak against England.
Shafali left India in moderation from October 2024, but she couldn’t find a three-game position against England in the ODI squad, which was also announced today.
Perhaps, she has a great outing in the Delhi capital of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) this season, where she has pooled 304 games with 152 strike rates in nine matches.
In fact, she is the fourth-highest runner in the WPL, behind Nat-Sciver Boment, Elyse Perry and Hayley Matthews, and the highest runner in India’s batsman.
Another player who made a comeback is goalkeeper Yastika Bhatia, who has been eliminated since November due to a wrist injury in the women’s big Bash league.
Unlike Shafali, Yastika is also part of the ODI team. Except Yastika, the other ticket inspectors in both squads were Richa Ghosh.
India is named 15 T20 teams, while the ODI roster is composed of 16 players, both teams will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur, who will be assisted by Smriti Mandhana.
Young opener Pratika Rawal recently made the fastest batsman in history in Sri Lanka’s three-game winning streak, earning 500 runs in 50 wins.
Rawal broke England’s Charlotte Edwards record, who slammed 500 ODIs in nine innings, while the Indians had a feat in eight matches.
Tours in England will start with five T20Is and then start on July 15 in Southampton, London and Chester-Street 3 ODIs.
