Adani Airport Holdings Ended Partnership with Turkish Company Celebi

Mumbai: Adani Airport said on Thursday it had terminated its ground handling agreement with Turkish company Celebi at Mumbai and Ahmedabad airports.
It also said that Celebi has been directed to hand over to all the company’s ground treatment facilities immediately to ensure uninterrupted operations.
The decision to terminate these concessions was made after the alliance government revoked the Turkish Airlines security permit.
It said Adani Airport owns and operates Mumbai and Ahmedabad airports, as well as Mangalore, Guwahati, Jaipur, Lucknow and Tirouvanan Tapuran airports.
“After the Indian government’s decision to revoke the security permit for Celebi, we terminated the ground handling concession agreement with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai and Sardar Vallabhbhbhai Patel International Airport (Svpia) in Ahmedabad.
“As a result, Celebi was instructed to hand over to all our ground treatment facilities immediately to ensure uninterrupted operations,” a spokesperson for Adani Airport Holdings said in a statement.
The company said it will continue to provide seamless service to all airlines without interference through the new ground handling agency of its choice.
“CSMIA and SVPIA’s existing employees will be transferred to the new ground processing agency in accordance with existing employment terms and conditions,” the company said.
The spokesperson added: “The ground handling operations at our airport will not be affected. We are fully committed to safeguarding the highest service and national interests.”
