“PAF is the King of the Sky”: Pakistan laughs at itself as Foreign Minister shares the front page of fake virus AI in British newspapers

Pakistan once again mocked its foreign minister Ishaq Dar on the global stage shared a fake image of AI-generated AI in the front page of a British newspaper that praised the Pakistan Air Force. The image looks like the front page of the Daily Telegraph, falsely claiming: “PAF is the undisputed king of the sky.”

Officially claim that fake AI titles are circulating

DAR has cited a fake AI image in the Pakistan Senate that is widely circulated on social media handles in Pakistan. He said in the cheers of other Senate members: “The front page of the British newspaper Daily Telegraph said that the Pakistan Air Force is the undisputed king of the sky.”

But the reporter and fact inspectors quickly marked the speech, confirming that the Daily Telegraph did not publish any such stories. The homepage in question does not appear on the newspaper’s archives or websites.

AI is used to make images

Some social media dealt with Highlighesd, the image was created using generative artificial intelligence tools that replicate the design and style of popular newspapers. Several inconsistencies in the layout were also observed in the image, and further raised doubts about its untrueness.

Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not withdraw

Despite being asked to spread false information, DAR has not issued any clarification on its statements. Pakistan’s foreign ministry also remained silent on the matter.

Pakistan’s defense minister also shared false claims on social media

This is not the first time that senior Pakistani officials have relied on unverified content on social media to propose fakeclaim. Pakistan’s Defense Minister claimed that Indian fighter jets were shot down by the Pakistan Air Force after a recent Indian air strike at a Pakistani terrorist site. He responded when evidence from international media put pressure on “Evidence is spread all over social media.” The quote has attracted widespread criticism, with defense analysts and global observers calling it an irresponsible and unconfident response from the Secretary for Military Affairs.
