Jana Sena competes for the position of deputy mayor of GVMC

Visakhapatnam: The competition for deputy mayors’ position in the Great Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) has exacerbated Jana Sena’s claim to his position.
Jana Sena Corporator (Wait 22) Peetala Murthy Yadav formally called on the head of the Jana Sena Party and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan to ensure the position of deputy mayor enters their party.
In a letter, Murthy Yadav emphasized Jana Sena’s key role in the recent no-trust campaign and the election of mayors belonging to the TDP, thereby enhancing JS’s qualification for the position of deputy mayor in the GVMC.
As more and more GVMC partners move to Jana Sena’s fold, JS highlighted the party’s continued four-year battle in the opposition and committed to protecting taxpayers’ interests as a key qualification for JS to obtain the deputy mayor position.
In his letter, Murthy Yadav reiterated his zero expectation principle, urging the parties to choose their due candidate as deputy mayor while excluding themselves from the game. “My position is in line with party values and the goal of maintaining integrity, while prioritizing systemic changes within the GVMC.”
Jana Sena is united in promoting council agency. They believe that the largest municipal agency, GVMC, is strategically critical to growth in development in other local governance structures.
