The Wagh Bakri Foundation has donated nine dedicated delivery vehicles to the “Akshaya Patra Foundation” to ensure meals for 10,500 children in over 205 public schools and Anganwadis in various locations in Hyderabad and Nellor.
Each of its trucks is temperature controlled to keep meals fresh and safe, and has custom cubicles to efficiently transport large quantities of food. They are designed to browse various terrain to ensure that even remote schools can get meals on time.
These vehicles are fuel efficient and, in many cases, are environmentally friendly and contribute to the sustainability goals. These are to simplify the Akshaya Patra meal plan to cover a wide range of geographical areas and serve 22.5 million children a day.
