Lokesh sees PM Modi on Saturday

Vijayawada: Education Minister Nara Lokesh will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday night.

Lokesh was on a regional tour in Anantapur on Friday when he was confirmed for appointment. He shortened his visit and headed to Hyderabad.

The Prime Minister has invited Lokesh to Delhi twice. In the restart of the Amaravati Capital Works program, Modi interacted with Lokesh and asked him to meet him in Delhi. Lokesh seeks a date and confirms this via PMO’s phone call.

TDP is a key partner of the NDA government run by Modi during its current term. It is not clear what issues the Prime Minister will discuss with the governor. Some say Lokesh will give Telugu Desam a more important responsibility in the upcoming Mahanadu of Kadapa. It is also speculated that Lokesh will become the party’s “supreme leader” in the future.

Sources said Lokesh will explain the conditions for the AP after the YSRC five-year rule. He will also list the steps taken by the TD-led administration to put the state on the “right path.”

At Lokesh’s meeting with PM, Amaravati, Polavaram and other projects and funding issues may be discussed. During the meeting, it is likely that a coffee table book about Yuvagalam Padayatra (Walkathon) of Lokesh will be included.
