Mumbai Airport said on Friday (May 16, 2025) that the Indian and Thai airport service will carry out ground treatment works at the airport for three months.

The news comes the day after Adani Airport Holdings Limited terminated the concession agreement reached with Celebi Nas at Mumbai and Ahmedabad airports.

Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) said in a statement that the Indian Thai Airport Service was appointed as the airport’s temporary ground treatment provider within the next three months and was effective immediately, adding that a joint meeting was held with the airlines to ensure a smooth and stable transition.

Currently, India and Thailand Airport Services operate in nine airports.

Mial, part of the Adani Group, operates Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), which is also the second largest airport in the country.

“CSMIA will transfer to the existing terms and conditions of employment of Indo Thailand Airport Services under all existing employees of CSMIA’s Celebi NAS, thereby ensuring no further loss of employment and continued services provided to airline partners. To maintain Thai Airport Services, all ground treatment equipment currently owned by Celebi Nas will be leased by Indo Airport Service to maintain the ongoing service of the Statement.

Within the next three days, MIAL will initiate a request for proposals (RFP) process to be onboard a long-term ground processing partner. The partner will be onboard within the next three months.
