Twenty cow heads rescued in Bajpe, Mangaluru

On Friday morning (March 28), the city police intercepted a vehicle near the Suralpady Mosque in Bajpe, Mangaluru, and rescued 20 cow heads, which were reportedly tied to the roof in an inhumane manner.
When Bajrang dal chased the vehicle activists claim the defendant fired at them, police said there was no obvious evidence to prove the shooting was fired at the scene. Among the 20 cow heads, two people were found dead.
Police chief Anupam Agrawal said in a statement that police intercepted the vehicle, its driver and two other vehicles transporting cattle, abandoned the quad and fled the scene. The way cattle are raised shows that they are being slaughtered by illegal transportation. The defendant has deleted the original figure of the vehicle.

The vehicle was taken to the Bajpe Police Station, where all cattle were examined by a veterinarian. Two of them succumbed to injuries during transportation. Surviving cattle were treated and fed.
The suspected persons involved in the transport were identified as Tauseef Peradi and Harine Peradi. One person has not yet been determined. Police said a case was registered at the Bajpe Police Department.
“Lack of fear of the law”
Mla Y. Bharath Shetty, north of Mangalore city who visited the police station, said it was Bajrang Dal activists who chased the vehicle in a multi-parking car and then deported it before police arrived at the scene.
“I talked to the driver of the utility vehicle. He said he saw another vehicle passing him and a person opened fire on the utility vehicle. I told him to file a police complaint.” Hindu.

Dr. Shetty expressed concerns about the illegal transport of cattle and the use of firearms, saying the way defendants are transporting cattle in widespread sunlight is a reflection of the misfortune of lack of fear of the law. The MLA said that if the state government fails to take the incident seriously and take effective action, right-wing activists will be forced to master the law.
However, the police reiterated that there was no visible evidence at the scene during the inspection. Inspections of utility vehicles also found no signs of gunfire. CCTV footage of the scene does not show any use of guns. Police said there were signs of physical contact between the utility vehicle used by the militants and the vehicle carrying the cattle.
