Governor of Odisha opens international language training center at SDI Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Skills Development Institute (SDI) Bhubaneswar today marks an important milestone with the opening ceremony of its International Language Training Centre and the launch of the “Steeling Wheel Skills” initiative, both of which are supported by the National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC).

Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati of Odisha was the chief guest with Sampad Chandra Swain, Secretary for State for Industry, Skill Development and Technical Education, Government. Senior officials including Bhupendra Singh Poonia, Deputy Secretary General of the Skill Development and Technical Education Committee of the Odisha Government, also participated in the event; Rasmi Govil, Director of the Indian Oil Company; and VIPs from the NSDC and the Skills Ecosystem.

In his speech, the governor praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s missionary vision for skills India and praised Odisha’s progress in skills development. He called union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan the architect of the nationwidely acclaimed SDI Bhubaneswar and emphasized its RS. The historic Baleni Mountain foothills 5 billion, covering 47 acres of world-class campus, serves as an example of excellence.

The NSDC initiative “International Language Training Centre” will provide foreign language skills to youth in Odisha and provide diplomatic skills and front-end support for international career opportunities. “Steering Wheel Skills” (a mobile training department) is designed to bring modern, industry-ready skills training directly to educational institutions and communities across the state.

Minister Sampad Chandra Swain reiterated the state’s commitment to making Odisha a “skill center for Purva Bharat”, describing SDI Bhubaneswar as “Bati Ghara” (lighthouse) as a young man in eastern India.
