Retired IAS official Dhanunjaya is a key official in the YSRCP government, while Krishna Mohan served as the Special Responsibility Officer (OSD) for former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
YSRCP senior leader B Satyanarayana in an alleged press release: “Chandrababu Naidu is addicted to political hatred, damaging the state’s administrative system, false cases and fabricated evidence, even against retired officials.”
Opposition leaders of the Legislative Council condemned the two arrested leaders asserting that the TDP-led NDA government’s move in the state was a clear act of political revenge and called it a dangerous attack on democratic institutions.
According to Satyanarayana, no specific evidence was presented in the case, but “arrest was arrested.”
YSRCP leader G Srikanth Reddy responded to Satyanarayana, who asserted that “political vendetta has reached a shocking level” and claimed that several IAS and IPS officials have been harassed, now even retirees.
Other party leaders, including former minister Merugu Nagarjuna, echoed similar views and criticized the arrested for “political vendetta”.
