Cassie Ventura told the court in tears that if it means she will never attend his “humiliation” sex party caused by drugs, she will refund $20 million (£15 million) of legal settlement from Sean Diddy’s comb.
She rejected the defense’s advice that she ended four days of testimony at her ex-boyfriend’s New York criminal trial, and that her allegations were financially driven.
Ms. Ventura, the government’s star witness, faces inquiry from two legal teams, her decade-long relationship with Combs and their “freak” sex.
Mr. Coms, 55, pleaded not guilty to extortion, sex trafficking and traffic for prostitution. He can face life in prison.
Ms. Ventura’s testimony reveals graphic details about her sexual life with the rapper and the physical violence she allegedly suffered against him.
The lawyers of the rap tycoon have been trying to portray Ms. Ventura, 38, as a desire participant in the sex lifestyle.
She testified this week that she was forced to attend a meeting involving male escorts because Mr Combs had threatened her with violence.
On Friday, she gave him a $20 million payment after filing a lawsuit against him in November 2023.
The solution was only one day after the legal action was filed, which is public knowledge, but the number of people was previously unknown.
Mr. Coms’ attorney Anna Estevao appears to suggest that Ms. Ventura was trapped in cash before filing the lawsuit. The singer has just moved to her parents’ home with her husband and children.
Ms. Ventura rejected the suggestion and later shared that she would swap money for a life without a “freak discount,” she said caused physical damage, sometimes lasting for days and stifled her career as a singer.
“I will have agency and autonomy,” she said.
Mr Combs’ legal team also showed dozens of information to the jury between each stage between couples, believing that their dynamics are sometimes toxic but not criminal.
Ms. Ventura will leave the stance a few minutes before Friday, with the defense asking her about another legal solution she won.
Ms Ventura told the court she expected to receive about $10 million from InterContinental, which was related to her claims against Mr Combs.
The settlement involved the 2016 Los Angeles Intercontinental Incident, in which security footage showed Mr. Combs hit, kicked and dragged her into the corridor.
The clip was played in detail in court this week and is one of the most important evidence at the trial.
Ms. Ventura read her text carefully after the assault on Friday in court. In a message, she told Mr. Combs: “I’m not a rag doll. I’m someone’s child.”
She and Mr. Combs expressed their love for each other in other texts.
Defense cross-examination continued all day on Thursday and Friday.
The prosecutors squeezed two more witnesses before the weekend’s recess.
One is Dawn Richard, a singer for Danity Kane – made up of Diddy’s MTV Show production band. Last year, she filed a lawsuit accusing him of physical abuse and retaining his income.
Ms Richard testified that she saw Mr. Coms attacking Ms. Ventura at her Los Angeles mansion in 2009.
“She fell,” Ms Richard told the court. “She is in the fetal position.”
After the incident, she said Mr. Combs put her aside and told her that what she saw was “passion” and where he came from, “people would go missing” if they spoke.
U.S. Homeland Security Agent Yasin Binda also made a stand, introducing the court to the cash, drugs and baby oil seized from the rapper’s hotel room when he was arrested in New York.
More testimony will be available to witnesses convened by prosecutors next week.
The Manhattan Court has been a media circus since the trial began, with audiences gathering among the little guys, camping overnight, and glimpsing music tycoons, his family and celebrities testifying.
