Mr. Bonnik’s lawyer claimed he was “punished for speaking out loud”, and Tasnima Uddin, an advocacy officer at the European Legal Support Centre, supported him in his claim, adding: “Arsenal did not fire Mark’s misconduct or anti-Semitism – they stood up with Palestine and fired him. It was political censorship.”
