Opposition leaders acknowledged her party faced a “work hell” but insisted that it should not be written off.
Mrs. Badennock told the Welsh conservative meeting that politics around the world has become increasingly turbulent, with right-wing parties and their leaders in Canada and Australia having unexpectedly failed elections in recent weeks.
