Singh said the governor approved the extension of the service period for the existing 10,500 VDF personnel at a meeting on Thursday, effective from April 1, 2025 until March 31, 2026.
VDF personnel are deployed throughout the state and assist security forces in maintaining laws and orders and ensuring the safety of villagers and local residents.
