ISRO’s 101st satellite mission: Know why the PSLV-C61 cannot deploy EOS-09 satellite from Sriharikota | India News

In a rare failure of the Indian Space Program, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) was unable to successfully place the EOS-09 Earth Observation satellite in orbit after the third phase of the PSLV-C61 mission on Sunday morning.

The Polar satellite launch vehicle (PSLV-C61) started at 5:59 am from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. Flights are usually conducted in the first and second phases; however, technical issues in the PS3 (stage 3) solid rocket motor phase disconnect the rocket from the route. Therefore, the mission has been aborted before the satellite is released into orbit.
