Former Union Minister RCP Singh attends Jan Suraaj Party in Bihar

The bureaucrat-turned-politician held its own party in November 2024.
He joined the Jan Suraaj Party in the presence of its founder Prashant Kishor.
“We both will work together to make Bihar a developed country,” Singh said at the event here.
Nalanda, the hometown of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, was an IAS official of Uttar Pradesh cadre, and among the central representatives, he first contacted Kumar, who was headed by the JD (U) at the time, was the railway minister in 1999.
After taking power in Bihar in 2005, Kumar was impressed by Singh’s administrative acumen, and he convinced him to come to Bihar as his chief secretary. In 2010, Singh voluntarily retired and joined Kumar’s JD (U), which helped him enjoy two consecutive terms in Rajya Sabha. Later, he was also appointed President of the state of JD (U).
However, in 2021, his summary of entering the league cabinet did not go smoothly. Singh resigned from the resignation of the state president of JD (U) and was denied a year later to refusal Rajya Sabha term again.
Later, Singh joined the BJP in 2023 after leaving JD(U).
