Pro-Palestine protests in Kashmir and Ladakh

Thousands of people in certain areas of Kargil and Kashmir participated in a solidarity march on Friday to support the Palestinian struggle and condemn the atrocities committed by Israel.

The protest march was organized in the Magam, Abi Guzar, Patan and Alamgari Bazar regions and Kagir in Ladakh in the Kashmir Valley. Protesters are raising slogans against Israel and demanding a resolution to the Palestine issue.

Muslims around the world have observed Jumat-ul-Vida, the last Friday of Ramazan, the holiest month in the Muslim calendar – as you-e quds, stressing the urgent need for a peaceful solution to the ongoing Palestinian issue and protesting the occupation of mosques – the occupation of Al-Al-Al-Aqsa – is the third best location.
“Kargil is untenable on a massive Quds Day! Thousands of gatherings condemn the aggression of the US Zionist aggression and expand solidarity against Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen,” said Sajjad Kargili, a prominent political leader in Kargil.

In Kashmir, hundreds of people marched on the streets of Magham, including men and women slogans against Israel and spoke about the recent murder of Palestinians despite the ceasefire. “Employ these marchs alone doesn’t help the cause. People should resist the products of Israel and its supporters,” said a young female supporter of Magam. Protesters have put forward slogans targeting Israel and the United States.

Lok Sabha members from Srinagar and famous Shia leader Ruhullah Mehdi were also at the Quds Day meeting in Delhi. “I am unwaveringly united with the Palestinian people,” Medi said, also highlighting the similarities between the “oppressive measures in Kashmir” in common struggle with injustice. Meanwhile, Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid of Srinagar speaks here at the historic Jama Masjid in Srinagar, where Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who has been detained at his residence since yesterday Farooq) said on X: “Want to ask the authorities why this is the most important center of religious identity and affinity in Kashmir, repeatedly targeting when people are cast on a high degree of normal declaration every day while people’s basic rights to religious practices are curbed?” Mirwaz asked. He further said: “Those who ruled under the names of characters cannot stand up from standing to address the serious injustice against the valley Muslims and the repeated closure of the Jama Mosque.”

J&K police conducted two separate FIRs in Beerwah and Pattan in Budgam district, related to a pro-Palestine rally organized by Ramazan in Kashmir last Friday. Police have booked protesters under the Illegal Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in the Balamula area.

The police in the Budgam area registered the case in the case of Article 126(2) (Error constraints) and Article 189(6) (Illegal Assembly) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

“Through the slogan, organizers attempted to establish a legal and order situation and blocked the Sonpah-Beerwah Road, thus creating a barrier to a smooth movement for the public,” Budgam police said in a statement.
