Eyewitnesses of Gurzal Houz Fire in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Witnesses of a fire that broke out in a building in Gulzar Houz in Hyderabad, 17 people, including eight children, were killed early Sunday morning, said the fire was at the back end of the building.
Witness Zahid also detailed the efforts made by locals to save people trapped in the building.
“We couldn’t get through the gate because it was engulfed by the flames, so we broke the shutter and went inside. Then five to six of us broke into the first floor and went into the first floor. The list of 17 dead people released by Telangana Fire disaster response emergency and civil defense includes the names of eight children under the age of 10.
The smallest one on the list was identified as a Prathan (1.5 years old). The other seven children were identified as Hami (7), Priyanshi (4), iraaj (2), Arushi (3), Rishabh (4), Anuyan (3) and iddu (4).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was “deeply miserable” in the fire due to his death and announced that he had announced Rs 50,000 to the unfortunate, from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to the relatives of the deceased, and announced Rs 50,000 to the unfortunate.
