Ali Khan Mahmudabad, a relevant professor at Ashoka University, was arrested on Sunday, May 17, saying that he made controversial comments on “Operation Sindoor” on social media, India’s recent military strike in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attacks by Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the report Times of India, Mahmudabad, 42, is currently in charge of the Department of Political Science at Ashoka University in Sonipat, Haryana. He was arrested on a complaint filed by Yogesh Jatheri of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yuva Morcha in Haryana.

He was accused of inciting rebellion in the case of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which undermined community harmony and insulted religious sentiment, the report said. An official statement from the university confirmed that it was “in the process of determining the details” and asserted that it would work fully with the authorities.

Who is Ali Khan Mahmudabad?

Ali Khan Mahmudabad was born on December 2, 1982 and belongs to a famous political family. According to reports Indian era.
