Family gathering turns into tragedy for two daughters

Hyderabad: A family of two daughters, they went to their father’s home and died tragically in a fire accident in Gulzar Houz. In the early hours of Sunday morning, a joyful party turned into heartbreak.

The victims were initially taken to Ottomania General Hospital, with family and relatives hoping they are still alive. Desperately, they took them to several private hospitals.

However, the doctor confirmed that they had been killed. After completing the formalities, the deceased was transferred to the morgue of Ottomania General Hospital for an autopsy.

The incident shocked relatives and friends of the victim’s family who were taken to the hospital and the victim’s residence. Relatives claimed that the tragedy was caused by the delay in the fire department’s response, lack of oxygen masks and insufficient water supply from the fire truck.

Prahlad Modi was also taken to Osmania General Hospital and was pronounced dead. “He is old and half of his body is burned down. We are shocked and don’t know what to say in such a tragic moment.”

“Two days before the incident, the daughters lived in their parents’ homes with their children. We didn’t know what happened in the early hours of the morning. Upon arriving at the residence, locals told us that they died of the smoke, and they died of the smoke,” said Atul Agarwal, a relative of the victim.

“The family has been operating a jewelry store on the ground floor of the building for more than 125 years. The Modi family has five brothers – three brothers live in different parts of the city, while Prahlad and Rajendra Modi live in the same house,” said another relative, Rohith Modi.

He added: “We were told that the workers sleeping on the terrace woke up and managed to escape. Pankaji and Edgel were the first to come out and try to save others, but they were trapped inside.”

“The fire department responded very poorly. They didn’t even have a rig to break through the walls,” said Rajendra Modi’s friend Satyanarayana Agarwal. “I arrived at the scene around 7 a.m. after receiving a call from a friend about the fire accident, which was reportedly caused by a short circuit.”
