Hyderabad: The government reportedly plans to requisition wine for the Special Consumption Tax (SEC), which will increase the price of each brand by at least Rs 10 at 180 ml, Rs 20 at 375 ml and Rs 40 at 750 ml. “The GST department has not communicated so far. We have learned that prices will increase within a day or two.” That’s a 15% increase in beer prices in February.
