Modi’s government. Continue to ignore the vice president’s plea on behalf of farmers: Ramesh’s birthday in Dhankhar

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on birthday greetings to Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Vice President Jairam Ramesh, on Sunday (May 18, 2025), was accused of “continuously ignoring” Mr Dankhar’s explosiveness, representing incitement to farmers during an excavation by the Narendra Modi government.

Mr. Dhankhar, who is also chairman of Rajya Sabha, was sworn in as the 14th Vice President of India on August 11, 2022. He turns 74 on Sunday.

“The Vice President and Chairman of Rajya Sabha Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, who turned 74 today, turned 74 today. In this happy moment, it must be recalled that it is very unfortunate but not entirely surprising, but the Modi government continues to ignore his thrilling person who does not ignore him on the exciting farmer, a painful farmer.

Earlier this month, Mr Ramesh listed the vice president’s remarks that inflation should be considered while providing assistance to farmers in order to wipe Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking why he did not do so.

Mr. Dankhar once advocated direct transfer of benefits for farmers’ fertilizer subsidies under the U.S. model and demanded financial assistance to agroologists, such as the salaries of lawmakers and members of Congress.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also greeted him on his birthday. “I extend my warm birthday wishes to the Vice President of India, Honorary Chairman Rajya Sabha, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar JI.
