Carnival brings Jasala to Tank Bund on Sunday

Hyderabad: After more than two years of gap, Carnival returned to the Tank Bund on Sunday. Traffic shifted from the road, turning the entire extension into a promenade for families and vacationers. Cloudy weather increases mood. When the night ended, everyone’s eyes turned to the sky of a drone show.

There are both in the Cycling and Stiltwalker clowns, and the stalls offer a variety of snacks and premium merchandise. The number of stalls is around 100, everything from hot snacks to books, saris, gowns and event jewelry. The large screen, the cultural performance stage and the Secretariat Miss World is televised.

“It feels like a little Jatala,” said M. Lavanya, mother of two. She added: “We have Jataras in our village every year and today’s event reminds me of them. We need more of these nights.”

Three stages were established along the road, and cultural performances made the crowd entertain. From Kuchipudi dance to various performances and Qawwali sessions. A Flash mob features Tollywood, Bollywood and even Hollywood tunes that make the crowd cheer and sing.

The night after sunset is still alive. The children laughed as the clowns cyclists and stilt walkers waved. “The clown is my favorite,” said Ayaan, eight years old.

“We usually see things like this in big carnivals and circuses, and I’m glad we’re seeing things like this on the tank Bund, and the nights really make my kids happy.”

“I love small photo booths, and my friends and I took a lot of photos and it felt like we had a mini exhibition,” said Anisa Muskhan, a college student who was with her college friend.

“There are lots of stalls with lots of stalls with delicious food and lovely stuff. I have delicious cheesecakes that even match my mom’s earrings,” Saanvi Rao shared.
