Tornado Shakti brings heavy rain, eases Telangana

Warangal: A deep depression, if Shakti exacerbates the whirlwind, it will be named the Gulf of Central and Southern Bangladesh and move northwest from the coast of Tamil Nadu to Andhra Pradesh. The system is expected to trigger moderate to heavy rain in several areas of the two Telugu states in the next week.
The southern part of Telangana witnessed ruthless thunderstorms on Sunday followed by heavy rains since Sunday afternoon, especially in Medak, Siddipet, Kamareddy, Kamareddy, Wanaparthy, Wanaparthy, Gadwal, Gadwal, Narayanpet, Sangareddy Mahbubnagar, Rangareddy and Nagarkurnool, Nagarkurnool and Nagarkurnool temporarily extended temporary extended dry conditions.
Narayanpet recorded up to 60 mm of rainfall at various locations, equaling the average rainfall throughout the month.
The IMD warned that winds could reach speeds of 40 to 50 km per hour accompanied by lightning and isolated thunderstorm and hails in regions which include Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Nizamabad, Medchal, Vikarabad, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Adilabad, Nirmal, Asifabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jagtial, Khammam, Mahabbad.
The Hyderabad Weather Center specifically warned that the highest temperature dropped by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius over the next three days, below normal levels. There are severe thunderstorms in the upper floor, Cherlapally, in case of emergency, Tarnaka, Mallapur, OU campus, LB Nagar, Vanasthali Puram, Nagole, Nagole and Ramanthapur.
IMD also announced that the southwest monsoon is expected to arrive early this year and may receive its first shower in Kerala before the usual attack date on June 1. It also predicts that the 2025 monsoon season may bring above-average rainfall.
