16-year-old boy died in beach stabbing: Police arrested 17-year-old man, dead

Police arrested a 17-year-old after a boy was stabbed on a beach in Ayrshire, Scotland.

The 16-year-old Kayden Moy, of East Kilbride, was found seriously injured at Irvine Beach at 6.45 p.m. Saturday.

Scottish police said the boy was taken to the hospital after multiple stabbings but sadly died on Sunday morning.

His family is already aware of it and will submit a report to the prosecutor’s finances.

Friends of the family paid tribute to Kaden on social media and called for suppression of young people carrying knives.

His father, Paul Moy, posted a photo with his son: “My first son, my older boy, I’m the best friend, my main man, everything is safe, my boy is easy”.

Karen Nelson posted: “Thinking of my big sister Marion, her fiancé Kris Moy and all his family, especially Chris’ brother Paul, his partner Ashley and the boy, Kayden Moy, who was stabbed on Irvine Beach, as their oldest boy, Kayden Moy, died after being stabbed on Irvine Beach.

“My heart is hurt for them. All thoughts are with the whole family during this devastating moment.

Carol Brown added: ‘Rip Kayden. My heart was hurt for Ashley, Paul, his brother and his family.

Police are now calling for information and urging people at the beach to check any videos of their phones to help them investigate.

Campbell Jackson, the detective scout of the main investigation team, said: “A large-scale investigation is underway to determine the full picture surrounding the death.”

“Our officers support the boy’s family during this very difficult and heartbreaking time.

“ From the survey so far, we know that during the harassment period, there are many people on the beach.

“We believe there were several shots of filming at the time and there might be some shots that happened.

“I urge people to review the videos they have and contact the police if they think the captured videos may be of great significance to our investigation.”

Principal Jim McMillan said: “We understand that this death’s focus on the local community will attract attention, but rest assured that we are doing everything we can to identify those involved.

“When we conduct the inquiry, there will be other patrols in the area and anyone in doubt can approach these officials.”
