Fake official deceived elderly woman with 1 million rupees

Hyderabad: In another digital arrest case, Rachakonda cybercrime wing received a complaint from an elderly woman in Malkajgiri who lost Rs 1 million at one time.

The wrongdoing, impersonating a Trai official, accused the victim of illegal activities using her Aadhaar card through the SIM card she purchased, and registered her for this purpose. Apart from her tensions, they told her that the Supreme Court judge would be in charge of the case. They manipulated her to obey the fake judge, causing her to wear a white dress, and even stood up when the “judge” arrived.

The victim is constantly harassed by threatening calls and warned against confide in his family who are “illegal transactions”.

The liar in the “official” uniform told her that she was among 200 seniors who were associated with a man named Goel, the brain behind the big fraud campaign. They convinced her to fill out the bail form. The fraudster told her that the phone would be monitored by the chief justice of India. The complainant said she was threatened to pay $1 million to avoid legal consequences and possible arrests.

Rachakonda cybercrime police registered a case and launched an investigation.
