On this year’s Tulip Festival opening day, we head to the Lake in Doyle. We couldn’t help but notice the parking tower on the new Civic Hospital campus and thought: “The disastrous location of the hospital.”
10 days of the year our new hospital will actually be out of service, as the parking lot (without proper surveillance) will be completely inaccessible and taken away by Tulip Festival visitors.
Similarly, as traffic in the area is much worse during the festival than any ordinary peak hours, emergency hospital visits will be very limited.
