ISI agent suspected of arresting in Tanda in Uttar Pradesh

A man was arrested in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh for allegedly serving as agent for Pakistan Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) of the Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh (STF).

SHAHZAD was arrested by STF Moradabad on Sunday (May 18, 2025) after he was suspected of participating in ISI’s cross-border smuggling and espionage activities. “Shahzad also reportedly passed on sensitive information related to national security to his handling staff,” the STF said.

“Shahzad has traveled to Pakistan several times over the years, allegedly spanning cosmetics, clothing, spices and other items at the border,” the agency said. “He has been arrested under some of the regulations, including espionage-related regulations,” the STF said in a statement.
